Carlos Quentin homered twice and drove in three runs and the Chicago White Sox beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 on Wednesday for their eighth straight win.
Quentin, who has three homers and six RBIs in the first two games of the series, hit a two-run homer off Braves starter Tim Hudson in the fourth and added a solo shot in the seventh.
That was plenty of support for Mark Buehrle, who moved to 4-0 against the National League this season. Buehrle (6-6) allowed two runs in six innings to win his third consecutive start. The lefty is now 11-1 in interleague games since the start of 2007.
Bobby Jenks worked around a hit in the ninth for his 16th save.
Melky Cabrera had three hits for the Braves and drove in their first run with a single in the second, briefly giving Atlanta a 1-0 lead. Hudson gave up the lead for good in the fourth.
Hudson (7-3) allowed four runs in seven innings, the first time this year he has allowed more than three runs in a start. The loss assured the Braves of losing their first series since April 7-9.
