Russell Wilson threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns as the Seattle Seahawks earned a 20-13 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Friday night.

Wilson hit Kasen Williams for a 1-yard touchdown and Mike Davis on a 22-yard score as Seattle's offense moved the ball consistently in the first half against the Vikings' defense. The Seahawks posted 241 yards of offense before halftime while most of their starters remained in the game.

However, Seattle also lost left tackle George Fant to injury as he left the field on the back of a cart after having a pile topple into his right knee.

The Vikings opening drive covered 76 yards but resulted in just a 29-yard field goal by Marshall Koehn.

Dalvin Cook was impressive early for Minnesota, gaining 40 yards on seven carries. Outside of Cook and Stefon Diggs -- who had four catches for 65 yards -- the Vikings offense struggled to move the football.

Williams built upon a strong showing in Seattle's preseason opener against the Chargers last week. After catching four passes for 119 yards in Los Angeles, Williams caught a 27-yard pass over Vikings' Pro Bowl cornerback Xavier Rhodes and followed it up with a jump ball touchdown against Marcus Sherels at the goal line.

Williams' touchdown capped an 11-play, 77-yard drive to give Seattle a 7-0 lead. After Koehn's field goal got the Vikings on the board, Seattle increased their advantage in the second quarter. Wilson led the Seahawks on a nine-play, 80-yard scoring drive to extend the lead to 14-3. Wilson caught the Vikings in a blitz and found an uncovered Davis for a 22-yard touchdown.

After a 51-yard field goal by Kai Forbath for Minnesota, former Vikings kicker Blair Walsh connected on a pair of 52-yard field goals to give Seattle a 20-6 advantage. Walsh made gestures toward the Vikings bench after each of his made kicks.

The Seahawks forced a pair of turnovers as well as rookie running back Chris Carson forced a fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half, which led to Walsh's field goal. Rookie Tedric Thompson also hauled in an interception of Taylor Heinicke after a pass intended for Issac Fruechte deflected high into the air off Fruechte's back shoulder.

Heinicke hit Bucky Hodges for a 21-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to close the final deficit to 20-13.
