Ryan McMahon hit a walk-off, two-run homer in the ninth inning, and the Colorado Rockies beat the visiting Atlanta Braves 3-1 on Monday in Denver.
Trevor Story had three hits, and Jairo Diaz (5-3) got the win despite allowing the tying run in the ninth inning for the Rockies, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
Matt Joyce and Francisco Cervelli collected two hits apiece for Atlanta, which had its eight-game winning streak ended.
The Monday contest was a makeup of an April 10 game that was postponed due to a blizzard that hit the Denver area. The Braves flew into Denver on Sunday from New York, where they had swept a three-game series from the Mets, and then were flying out Monday night to Toronto for a two-game interleague series against the Blue Jays.
The Rockies got the win after Nolan Arenado walked to lead off the ninth against Anthony Swarzak (3-4). Jerry Blevins entered and struck out Daniel Murphy, but McMahon followed with his 18th homer of the season to right field to end it.
With the game scoreless, the Rockies finally broke through in the eighth inning. Dom Nunez led off with a double, and after advancing on a groundout by Yonder Alonso, he scored on Charlie Blackmon's sacrifice fly to right to give the Rockies a 1-0 lead.
The Braves tied it in the ninth when Cervelli led off with a triple and pinch runner Billy Hamilton scored on a sacrifice fly by Adeiny Hechavarria.
Both starters got a no-decision despite neither giving up a run. Atlanta right-hander Julio Teheran struck out four and allowed three hits and three walks through six shutout innings. Colorado right-hander Tim Melville fanned six in five innings while giving up five hits and three walks.
The Braves had a runner on in each of the five innings against Melville and had the first real scoring opportunity in the fourth. Freddie Freeman led off with a walk and stole second as Josh Donaldson struck out. Matt Joyce singled to left, but Freeman was thrown out at home by Colorado's Ian Desmond.
Atlanta threatened again in the fifth, loading the bases with two outs. Melville then went to a 2-0 count on Freeman before getting him to ground out to second to end the inning.
