Rookie Brett Kennedy teamed with three relievers on a five-hitter, and rookies Franmil Reyes and Luis Urias homered as host San Diego beat the Colorado Rockies 7-0 on Friday night at Petco Park.

Kennedy (1-2) tossed six innings to help the Padres record their fourth shutout of the season. The 24-year-old right-hander allowed four hits, two walks and a hit batter to pick up the first win of his major league career.

Kennedy, who struck out two, lowered his ERA from 7.58 to 5.76.

Wil Myers also homered for the Padres, going back-to-back with Urias in the eighth inning after the 21-year-old second baseman's first major league homer in his fourth career game.

The Padres won a fourth straight game for the first time this season. Colorado lost for the fourth time in the last five games. The Rockies slipped into third place in the National League West, although they trail the division-leading Arizona Diamondbacks by only 1 1/2 games.

Reyes hit his second decisive homer in as many nights against the Rockies. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound right fielder, who won Thursday's opener to the four-game series with a walk-off homer in the 13th inning, drove a 425-foot shot Friday into the Padres bullpen in left-center. The two-out, fourth-inning blast off Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela (4-5) broke a scoreless tie.

It was Reyes' 13th homer of the season and his fourth during a six-game hitting streak.

The Padres broke the game open with six runs in the seventh and eighth against the Rockies' bullpen.

Austin Hedges doubled with one out in the seventh against Seunghwan Oh and scored on Freddy Galvis' single.

The Padres then scored five times in the eighth, with Jake McGee giving up four runs without retiring a batter.

Travis Jankowski drew a walk to open the inning and scored when Urias went the opposite way on a 340-foot drive into the short porch down the line in right. The shot produced Urias' first two RBIs. Myers then hit his 10th homer, driving a McGee fastball 348 feet to right-center.

After Eric Hosmer doubled, Bryan Shaw replaced McGee and gave up a run-scoring double to Hunter Renfroe, who scored the final run on a Hedges single.

Senzatela allowed one run on four hits and a walk in six innings. He fanned four.

Matt Strahm, Phil Maton and Rowan Wick -- making his major league debut -- each pitched a scoreless inning behind Kennedy.
