Mitch Moreland and David Murphy drove in two runs apiece while Leonys Martin and Elvis Andrus combined for five hits and four runs scored for the Rangers, who pulled into a tie with Oakland for first place in the American League West.
Mike Trout celebrated his 22nd birthday with a two-run homer for the Angels, who have lost seven straight meetings with Texas and 10-of-12 in the season series. Tommy Hanson (4-3) was tagged for five runs and seven hits in just 4 2/3 frames.
Moreland opened the scoring in the first inning with a sacrifice fly and capped a three-run third with an RBI single as the Rangers grabbed a 4-2 lead. Texas added one in the fifth against Hanson before Beltre, who had an RBI groundout in the third, launched a two-run shot off Joe Blanton in the sixth.
Alexi Ogando (5-3) allowed two runs and four hits over five innings en route to his first victory since May 15. Jurickson Profar and Ian Kinsler each had an RBI as the Rangers posted their ninth win in 10 games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas continued to run wild on the Angels, registering seven stolen bases after swiping six bags on Tuesday. Martin and Andrus had three steals apiece while Craig Gentry recorded the other. The trio combined for all six steals Tuesday, with Martin notching three and Andrus two. ... Trout also homered on his birthday last year, belting a solo shot against Oakland. He joined Buddy Lewis (1936 and 1938) as the only players in major-league history to homer on their birthday twice by the age of 22. ... Angels OF Josh Hamilton went hitless in four at-bats for the third straight contest and is 14-for-48 in 12 games against his former team this season.
