Dodgers 7, Rockies 5 (10): Luis Cruz broke a tie with an RBI groundout off pitcher Rafael Betancourt's foot in the 10th inning as visiting Los Angeles prevailed after blowing a five-run lead.

Juan Uribe followed with an RBI single against Betancourt (1-3) as the Dodgers survived a two-run pinch-hit homer by Todd Helton which tied the game 5-5 in the ninth inning. Ronald Belisario pitched a perfect 10th for his first save of the season.

Uribe, Mark Ellis and Adrian Gonzalez delivered RBI hits in a three-run third inning for Los Angeles. Clayton Kershaw allowed three runs and eight hits in seven innings, and his two-run double gave the Dodgers a 5-0 lead in the fourth, while Brandon League (1-2) picked up the victory despite yielding Helton's shot.

Michael Cuddyer and Wilin Rosario also drove in runs while Dexter Fowler had three hits for the Rockies, who have lost six of their last seven games. Jon Garland allowed five runs and seven hits in five innings and avoided losing his fifth straight start thanks to Helton.

After the Rockies cut into the lead with two runs in the fourth inning, they stranded runners at second and third with one out in the seventh and scored only once after loading the bases with none out in the eighth. Helton drove the 11th pitch of the ninth-inning at-bat into the second deck in right field.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies LF Carlos Gonzalez got the night off from the starting lineup, but struck out while pinch hitting with runners on second and third and one out in the seventh inning. He is 2-for-24 with 14 strikeouts as a pinch hitter. ... Kershaw added a single in the sixth inning and finished 2-for-3 for his eighth career two-hit game. ... Fowler is 15-for-34 against Kershaw.
