Diamondbacks 8, Giants 6 (11): Arizona scored two runs in the top of the 11th and Aaron Hill had a two-run homer among his five hits as the visiting Diamondbacks snapped their three-game losing streak.

Hill led off the 11th with a single off George Kontos (1-1) and scored the go-ahead run when Jason Kubel ripped his fourth triple of the season off Javier Lopez. The Diamondbacks added an insurance run when Kubel scored on Miguel Montero's single. Josh Collmenter (4-3) pitched two scoreless innings for the win.

The Giants lost for just the second time in their last eight games and remained 4 1/2 games ahead of Los Angeles in the National League West. Collmenter retired Pablo Sandoval with two runners on in the bottom of the 11th to end the game.

Arizona took a 6-2 lead in the fourth when Hill followed Adam Eaton’s first career hit with a two-run homer off Ryan Vogelsong, who gave up six runs over 3 1/3 innings. Hill came within a triple of hitting for the cycle for the third time this season.

The Giants began their comeback with three runs in the sixth when Hunter Pence doubled in a run and Brandon Belt followed with his first home run in 238 at-bats against right-handed pitchers this season.

Arizona starter Ian Kennedy allowed five runs over 5 2/3 frames and failed in his bid to record his sixth straight win against the Giants.

San Francisco tied the game in the seventh when Angel Pagan hit a leadoff double, moved to second on Marco Scutaro’s sacrifice and scored on Sandoval’s single off Brad Bergesen.

The Giants had two runners on with no outs in the eighth before Mike Zagurski induced an inning-ending double play grounder from pinch hitter Hector Sanchez.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco lost for the second time in their last 18 games when scoring at least five runs. … The Diamondbacks promoted Eaton from Triple-A Reno, where he was batting .381 with seven home runs and 38 stolen bases in 119 games. …Arizona CF Chris Young was rested after leaving Monday’s game with a right quad injury.
