Rangers 13, Angels 6: Nelson Cruz capped a five-run third inning with a grand slam and Josh Hamilton added to his league-leading RBI total with three more as Texas used a 19-hit attack to capture the rubber game of the three-game series.
Elvis Andrus went 4-for-5 with an RBI, Adrian Beltre drove in two runs and Cruz recorded four hits and scored three times for the Rangers, who have won five of seven.
Mark Trumbo erased a 1-0 deficit for the Angels with a two-run homer in the second inning. Texas responded by tagging Jered Weaver (5-1) for five runs in the third, including an RBI single by Beltre and Cruz's third homer of the season.
Hamilton, who struck out in his first two at-bats, chased Weaver with a two-run double in the fourth that made it 8-2 and extended his hitting streak to 13 games. Weaver allowed eight runs and 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings.
After the Angels scored three in the top of the seventh to get within 10-5, Texas staged a three-run rally in the bottom half that was capped by an RBI single by Hamilton, who leads the majors with 44 RBIs.
Neftali Feliz (3-1) tossed seven solid innings, allowing two runs and four hits with five strikeouts. The former closer has allowed more than three runs once in six starts this year.
Vernon Wells and Kendrys Morales each belted a solo homer for the Angels, who have lost three of five.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Weaver had allowed a total of nine runs over his first seven starts this year. His ERA rose from 1.60 to 2.83. ... Cruz finished a triple shy of the cycle. ... Texas has won 14 of its last 22 meetings with Los Angeles. ... The bottom third of the Rangers' lineup went 9-for-14 with a homer, six RBIs and seven runs scored.
