Mets 10, Phillies 6: New York rallied late for the third night in a row to complete its first three-game road sweep of Philadelphia in nearly six years.
Ike Davis' three-run home run capped a four-run eighth inning and blew it open for the Mets, who began their late-inning comeback with three runs in the seventh to take the lead.
New York won the series opener with a ninth-inning home run and scored four runs in the seventh inning Tuesday.
It's the Mets' first three-game sweep of the Phillies since May 25-27, 2010, and their first three-game sweep in Philadelphia since June 13-15, 2006.
New York's late surge spoiled a solid start by Phillies left-hander Cliff Lee in his return from the 15-day disabled list. Lee allowed two runs on five hits over six innings and struck out six.
The Phillies' bullpen let another one get away, as the Mets scored five runs in one-plus inning against Kyle Kendrick (0-3) and added two more against Jose Contreras.
Tim Byrdak (2-0) retired the only batter he faced for his second win in the series.
Freddy Galvis went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Philadelphia.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Mets relievers combined for 9 1/3 innings of scoreless work in the series before Galvis' RBI triple in the eighth. … Galvis notched his first three-hit game, his first three-RBI game and his first major-league triple. … Mets reliever D.J. Carrasco made his first appearance of the season because of an ankle sprain. He pitched the ninth and allowed one run.
