Marlins 4, Padres 2: Jose Reyes belted a two-run homer to extend his hitting streak to 15 contests and Nathan Eovaldi tossed 5 1/3 solid innings in his debut with his new team as Miami snapped a nine-game home losing skid to San Diego.

Justin Ruggiano also went deep and Carlos Lee had two hits - including an RBI single - for the second straight game. The offense was enough to allow the Marlins to end a three-game losing skid and secure only their second win in 10 outings.

After Lee opened the scoring in the first inning, Reyes gave Miami a 3-0 lead in the third. Reyes jumped on a changeup from Ross Ohlendorf (3-1) and launched a towering shot that landed just inside the right-field foul pole for his seventh homer of the season.

Acquired in the Hanley Ramirez deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this week, Eovaldi (2-6) received a well-earned ovation from the Miami faithful after a solid debut. He scattered five hits and struck out as many.

Two relievers bridged the gap to Steve Cishek, who retired the side in the ninth inning for his fourth save.

Yonder Alonso had an RBI double and fellow former University of Miami star Yasmani Grandal had a sacrifice fly for the Padres, who saw their modest two-game winning streak come to an end.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Eovaldi singled in his first at-bat with the Marlins. The base hit was his second of his career. ... Reyes batted third in the lineup for his second straight day and 22nd time in his career. ... Ohlendorf permitted three runs on four hits in six innings.
