Braves 4, Astros 1: Tim Hudson tossed 7 1/3 solid innings to win his 100th game with Atlanta and Chipper Jones ripped a two-run double against visiting Houston.

Martin Prado and Dan Uggla added RBI doubles as the Braves pulled within two games of National League East-leading Washington, which split a doubleheader with Miami on Friday.

Atlanta has won nine of 10 overall and 15 of 19 against the Astros. Houston has plummeted in the other direction, dropping 29 of its last 32 - including 10 straight on the road.

Hudson (11-4) extended his winning streak to five starts and improved to 100-63 since being traded to Atlanta in 2005. The veteran allowed one run on four hits and struck out three.

After Eric O'Flaherty finished the eighth inning, Craig Kimbrel struck out the side in the ninth for his 31st save.

Honored before the game for becoming the all-time RBI leader among third basemen, Jones continued to produce by plating Prado and Jason Heyward with a two-run double in the third. Uggla gave Atlanta a 3-0 lead after his towering pop up alluded rookie shortstop Marwin Gonzalez.

Armando Galarraga (0-1) was victimized by seven walks before departing after 5 1/3 innings. He was charged with four runs on five hits.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Houston RHP Francisco Cordero was placed on the 15-day disabled list with an inflamed right big toe. ... Hudson improved to 5-1 in his career versus the Astros. ... Astros RHP Mickey Storey made his major-league debut in relief and retired the only two batters he faced.
