Ryan Roberts hit a walk-off grand slam off Javy Guerra with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-6 on Tuesday.
The Dodgers sent nine batters to the plate in the top of the 10th and scored five runs off Micah Owings (8-0), but the Diamondbacks answered with six runs in their half of the inning.
The Diamondbacks remain one game behind Milwaukee for home-field advantage in the National League Division Series with one game to play. The Brewers beat Pittsburgh 6-4 on Tuesday.
Dodger center fielder Matt Kemp’s Triple Crown hopes essentially ended with Tuesday’s game, when he went 2-for-5 with one RBI.
Kemp, who is tied for the lead in home runs with 38, tops the league with 124 RBIs. However, his .324 average trails Jose Reyes by 12 points.
Arizona's Justin Upton, who was hit on the bill of his helmet Sunday, left Tuesday’s game in the 10th inning after a ball caromed off the right field fence and hit him in the head.
Diamondbacks starter Jarrod Parker gave up four hits over 5 2/3 scoreless innings in his major league debut.
