Thomas Field scored on a bases-loaded walk in the 13th inning as Colorado snapped its nine-game losing streak with a 4-2 victory at Houston on Saturday evening.

Both teams had gone nine innings without a run before the Rockies broke through in the 13th against Jordan Lyles (2-8). Field led off with a walk and moved to second on a bunt single by Eric Young Jr. After Dexter Fowler was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out, Lyles issued another free pass to Chris Nelson, pushing Field across with the go-ahead run. Young scored on a sacrifice fly by Wilin Rosario.

Matt Reynolds (1-2) was the winner, working around two walks to pitch a scoreless 12th inning. Rafael Betancourt retired the Astros in order in bottom of the 13th for his seventh save.

Right fielder Ty Wigginton was ejected in the 11th for Colorado, which squandered an opportunity to pull ahead in the same frame when Young was thrown out at home on a fielder's choice.

Brett Wallace hit a solo homer in the second inning for the Astros. Jordan Pacheco drove in two with a fourth-inning double to tie the game at 2.

Houston starter J.A. Happ and Colorado's Jason Hammel each gave up just three hits in seven innings of work. Happ struck out five and walked four, while Hammel finished with three strikeouts and one walk. The Astros used eight relievers in the final six innings.
