Corey Hart homered and scored twice while Yovani Gallardo pitched eight superb innings as the Milwaukee Brewers cruised to an 8-1 triumph over the host Houston Astros on Friday.
Casey McGehee and Jonathan Lucroy had two RBIs apiece, and Ryan Braun collected three hits for Milwaukee, which has won nine of its last 10 games.
McGehee capped a three-run first inning with a two-run single, and Lucroy's run-scoring base hit completed a three-run third and gave the Brewers a 6-1 advantage.
Hart led off the sixth with his 16th blast of the season and Lucroy drew a bases-loaded walk in the ninth.
Gallardo (13-7) allowed a run and four hits to extend his winning streak against Houston to seven games. The righthander improved to 10-2 lifetime against the Astros.
J.A. Happ (4-14) surrendered six runs over four innings en route to his third straight loss. Happ, who has won only one of his last 11 decisions, became the first Astro to allow at least five runs in nine consecutive outings.
Humberto Quintero drove in the run for Houston, which had won four of five at home.
