Prince Fielder's eighth-inning RBI single propelled Milwaukee to its sixth straight victory Sunday, a 5-4 home win over Houston.
Jason Bourgeois, who hit a three-run homer for the Astros in the fourth inning, scored on a Francisco Rodriguez wild pitch to tie the game at 4-4 in the top of the eighth. Fielder, who went 7-for-12 over the three-game series, responded in the bottom of the inning with a base hit to center field against Fernando Rodriguez (2-1), scoring Ryan Braun with the winning run for the NL Central-leading Brewers.
John Axford worked a perfect ninth inning to save it for Francisco Rodriguez (4-2), who got the victory despite allowing Houston to draw even in the eighth.
Chris Narveson went 6 2/3 innings for Milwaukee, yielding three runs on four hits while walking three and striking out four.
Houston starter Brett Myers allowed four runs, three of them earned, in six innings of work. He surrendered eight hits and finished with six strikeouts.
