Randy Wolf pitched seven shutout innings to lead the National League Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers to their fourth straight win, 4-0 over the visiting Houston Astros on Friday night.
Wolf (7-8) allowed four hits, three walks and struck out five as Milwaukee maintained its 1 1/2-game lead on St. Louis.
The Brewers broke a scoreless tie in the fifth when Casey McGehee reached on an infield single - the third consecutive hit against Jordan Lyles (0-6) - to plate Prince Fielder.
George Kottaras added an RBI single two batters later, and Corey Hart doubled the Milwaukee cushion in the seventh with a two-run single off reliever Enerio Del Rosario.
Takashi Saito worked the eighth to hold the lead for Kameron Loe, who retired three straight in the ninth.
Lyles, still searching for his first major league win, gave up two runs on six hits in six innings.
Houston removed right fielder Hunter Pence from the game midway through the fifth after his trade to Philadelphia was finalized.
