Kevin Correia tossed seven-plus strong innings to record his National League-best seventh win of the season as the Pittsburgh Pirates continued their mastery of the Chicago Cubs with a 4-2 win on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field.

Neil Walker had an RBI single and Andrew McCutchen coupled a pair of hits with a bases-loaded walk and two stolen bases for Pittsburgh, which has won 15 of its last 21 games against the Cubs.

The Pirates took advantage of two Chicago errors and a season-high six walks by Doug Davis (0-3) to end their three-game losing skid.

The unconventional offense was more than enough for Correia (7-4), who improved to 6-1 on the road this season. The 30-year-old righthander allowed four hits in 7 1/3 scoreless innings to up his career mark to 3-0 against the Cubs.

After Alfonso Soriano belted a two-run homer off Joe Beimel to start the ninth, Joel Hanrahan struck out the next three batters to secure his 14th save of the season.

Davis has failed to last past the fifth inning in all three outings this season. The 35-year-old lefthander yielded four runs on four hits in 4 2/3 innings to take the loss.
