Ryan Braun launched a towering two-run home run off major league saves leader Leo Nunez in the top of the ninth inning, lifting the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 road win over the Florida Marlins on Friday.
The Brewers entered the contest with a National League-worst 9-19 road record and had lost 30 of their past 41 at Florida. Braun prevented another road loss with his team-leading 13th home run after Yuniesky Betancourt had led off the inning with a single.
The blown save was the second in four outings for Nunez (0-2), who is 1-for-3 in save chances since converting his first 18 this season.
The Marlins loaded the bases in the ninth, but John Axford struck out pinch hitter Brett Hayes to earn his 14th save in 16 opportunities.
Prince Fielder also belted a two-run homer for the Brewers, who have won 18 of their last 25 games.
Gaby Sanchez and Mike Stanton hit solo home runs for Florida.
The Marlins, who have lost nine of 13 at home, were without shortstop Hanley Ramirez (back) for the fourth consecutive game.
Florida's Logan Morrison had his eight-game hitting streak snapped, going hitless for just the fourth time in 19 games since returned from the disabled list on May 13. Morrison is 2-for-20 in his career against the Brewers.
