Mike Stanton's home run in the seventh inning broke a scoreless tie, and Anibal Sanchez outdueled Livan Hernandez to lead the Florida Marlins to a 1-0 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday at Nationals Park.

The Marlins have taken the first two games of the series by a combined two runs.

Sanchez (3-1) struck out 11 and took a no-hitter into the seventh inning while beating the Nationals on Sunday, and he was nearly as dominant this time around. He allowed three hits and two walks through eight innings, striking out nine before handing the ball to Leo Nunez, who worked around a leadoff walk and a single for his 14th save, the most in the majors.

Hernandez matched Sanchez most of the way, but Stanton's second home run of the series and seventh of the season sent him to his second loss against his former team in less than a week. Hernandez (3-5) allowed one run on six hits over seven innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

Logan Morrison and Greg Dobbs each went 2-for-4 for the Marlins, who improved to 11-4 in one-run games.
