Tom Gorzelanny allowed two runs in seven innings as the visiting Washington Nationals held the Florida Marlins to two hits en route to a 5-2 victory Saturday.
Adam LaRoche had a two-run single in the first and Jayson Werth's sacrifice fly gave the Nationals a 3-2 lead in the fifth.
Gorzelanny (2-2) allowed two hits, four walks and struck out six, and improved to 2-0 against Florida. Sean Burnett and Drew Storen each pitched a perfect inning of relief as Storen recorded his seventh save.
John Buck hit a two-run homer in the second for Florida, which has lost the first two games of the series.
Chris Volstad (3-3) allowed eight hits, three runs and struck out five.
