Dan Uggla extended his hitting streak to a career-high 21 games with a three-run homer to lead the host Atlanta Braves to a 5-1 victory over the Florida Marlins on Saturday night.
Uggla's 20th home run sparked a four-run rally in the third inning and supported Tim Hudson (10-7), who allowed one run in seven innings. Hudson scattered six hits and struck out five en route to his seventh quality start in eight appearances.
Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman extended his hitting streak to 14 games by going 2-for-4 - his fifth consecutive multi-hit game - and upped his average to a season-high .297.
Eric Hinske added a solo homer in the eighth.
