Delmon Young drove in three runs in his return to Minnesota and Victor Martinez added four RBIs as the Detroit Tigers trounced the Twins 8-1 on Friday.

The Twins have lost six in a row and set a franchise record by scoring one run or less in six straight home games.

Rick Porcello snapped out of a slump with 6 1/3 solid innings for Detroit, which has won seven of its last eight and maintained its 6½-game lead over Cleveland in the American League Central.

Porcello (12-8) scattered seven hits and struck out four to snap a four-start winless streak. The 22-year-old had allowed 20 earned runs in his previous four turns.

Young, who was traded from Minnesota to Detroit two weeks ago, drove in the tying run off rookie Scott Diamond (0-2) in the third, and added RBI singles in the seventh and eighth. Martinez followed Young with a sacrifice fly in the third to put the Tigers on top for good.

Drew Butera drove in the run for the Twins, who were without Joe Mauer for the third straight game because of a stiff neck.
