Nolan Reimold's two-run homer ignited a four-run third inning and the host Baltimore Orioles snapped a four-game losing streak with an 8-3 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday.
Reimold’s first home run of the season came off John Lannan and helped the Orioles avenge Friday’s 17-5 thrashing. Baltimore had 14 hits, and at least one from every spot in the batting order.
Jeremy Guthrie (2-6) allowed five hits and two runs - both unearned - and struck out four in seven innings en route to his first victory since April 1.
Lannan (2-5) was stung for nine hits and six runs in six innings, and lost his fourth straight decision.
Baltimore catcher Matt Wieters extended his hitting streak to 10 games with an RBI single in the seventh.
