Adrian Beltre capped a six-run fourth inning with a grand slam to lift the host Texas Rangers to a 12-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.
Beltre, who played for the Red Sox last season, smacked his first home run for Texas, which scored all six runs after two were out off John Lackey (0-1) to break a 3-3 tie.
Ian Kinsler, Nelson Cruz and Yorvit Torrealba also homered for the Rangers (2-0), who hit three homers in their season-opening win over Boston on Friday. Kinsler and Cruz also homered Friday.
David Ortiz hit his second homer and drove in three runs, and Jacoby Ellsbury added a two-run homer in the seventh for the Red Sox, who trailed 12-3 at the time.
Colby Lewis (1-0) allowed three runs on six hits in six innings.
Lackey was battered for nine runs on 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings.
