Wilson Valdez doubled in the tiebreaking run in the 11th inning and scored later in the frame as the Philadelphia Phillies snapped a three-game losing streak by notching a 7-6 comeback victory over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday afternoon.

The Phillies trailed 4-1 with two outs in the top of the ninth before Jayson Werth hit a three-run double off Giants closer Brian Wilson to force extra innings.

San Francisco ace Tim Lincecum struck out 11 and allowed just three hits in 8 1/3 innings but lost the chance to improve to 5-0 when Wilson blew the save opportunity.

Lincecum was pulled after walking Shane Victorino with one out in the ninth. Chase Utley had a two-out single off Wilson and Ryan Howard walked before Werth cleared the bases to tie the score.

Philadelphia went ahead in the 10th when Brian Schneider scored on a wild pitch, but San Francisco tied the score in the bottom of the inning on Andres Torres’ run-scoring single.

Valdez doubled against Sergio Romo (0-2) to score Raul Ibanez with two gone in the 11th. Valdez scored when Eugenio Velez made a fielding error on Victorino’s flyball.

Nate Schierholtz, who went 5-for-5, doubled in a run in the bottom of the 11th for San Francisco.

Torres had three RBIs for San Francisco, which had 17 hits.

Ryan Madson (1-0) picked up the win for the Phillies and Nelson Figueroa recorded his first career save. Phillies starter Cole Hamels had 10 strikeouts in six innings.

Howard hit his fourth homer of the season in the fifth for Philadelphia’s first run.
