Scott Podsednik and Ryan Theriot combined for five hits and three runs scored from the top two spots of the lineup as the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with a 7-1 win on Thursday.
Casey Blake added a two-run homer and Brad Ausmus chipped in two hits for the Dodgers, who had not swept a series on the road since June.
Podsednik gave Los Angeles a 2-1 lead with an RBI single in the fifth and Blake extended the advantage when he reached Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo for a two-run blast in the sixth.
The Dodgers piled on Gallardo in the seventh with three more as Theriot drove in a run and scored one and Reed Johnson plated Podsednik with a single.
Gallardo (11-6) was charged with six earned runs and has allowed 26 runs in 32 1/3 innings over his last six outings.
Carlos Monasterios started for Los Angeles but only lasted 4 1/3 innings, allowing Ronald Belisario (2-1) to grab a win.
