Roy Halladay did his damage with both his bat and his arm on Tuesday.

Halladay slapped a two-run single to go along with seven strong innings from the mound and Carlos Ruiz had four hits as the Philadelphia Phillies cruised to a 6-1 triumph over the Florida Marlins.

Ruiz and Ben Francisco belted solo homers and scored twice and Wilson Valdez added an RBI single for Philadelphia (58-48), which has won 10 of its last 12 games.

Halladay (13-8) wasn't perfect - like he was in his previous outing in Miami - but he was pretty dominating en route to his third straight victory. The 33-year-old right-hander allowed one run and five hits while striking out nine in this one.

The seven-time All-Star Halladay recorded the 20th perfect game in major league history when he handcuffed the Marlins on May 29.

Chad Durbin pitched two scoreless innings to preserve the victory on Tuesday.

Sean West (0-1) permitted five runs and nine hits in five innings to take the loss for Florida (53-53), which fell for just the third time in its last 10 home games.

Dan Uggla blasted a solo home run to provide the Marlins' offense.
