Troy Glaus had a home run and a double, Eric Hinske had two doubles and Brooks Conrad also homered as the Atlanta Braves got an 11-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night.
Glaus led off the sixth with a homer for the second straight game, taking Dave Bush (1-3) to deep left. He had a two-run double in Atlanta’s the four-run eighth.
The Braves (15-18) will try for a three-game series sweep Wednesday afternoon.
Mitch Stetter relieved Bush in the seventh, but gave up three runs on three hits in one-third of an inning.
Hinske’s two-run double capped the three-run seventh after Brian McCann singled in a run.
After Milwaukee (15-18) scored two runs in the seventh to get to 6-3, Conrad hit his first home run since last July. Jason Heyward returned after missing five games with a groin injury and drove in a run on a fielder’s choice before Glaus’ double.
The 11 runs is a season high for Atlanta.
Tim Hudson (3-1) earned the win, scattering six hits in six innings despite walking six. He also doubled for one of Atlanta’s eight extra-base hits.
