The Houston Astros got a three-run home run from Carlos Lee in the top of the eighth inning to secure a 6-5 comeback win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night.
Lee finished with two hits and four RBIs, while Jeff Keppinger had two hits and two runs scored.
Arizona starter Joe Saunders had the Diamondbacks up 5-2 before turning the ball over to Aaron Heilman in the eighth. Houston hammered Heilman (5-6) for four runs over just 2/3 of an inning to spoil a great effort from Saunders.
Mark Melancon (2-0) picked up the win in relief while Brandon Lyon came on for his 12th save of the year.
Saunders put together his second consecutive strong start, allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out four and walking two. He also chipped in two hits, including an RBI single in the bottom of the second before Ryan Roberts opened up a big lead with his first home - a three-run shot - in the fifth.
Houston starter Bud Norris didn’t make it out of the fifth inning. He gave up five runs on eight hits.
The 37-year-old Mike Hampton made his first appearance in the majors since 2009, getting an out in the ninth.
