Casey McGehee homered among four hits, drove in three runs and scored three times to lift the Milwaukee Brewers to an 8-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday afternoon.
Craig Counsell drove in three runs and Prince Fielder drew three walks and scored three times as the Brewers avoided the four-game sweep.
Milwaukee beat around Rodrigo Lopez early in grabbing a 6-0 lead that would end up being enough support for Randy Wolf.
Wolf (9-9) allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings. He struck out eight and walked four for consecutive wins. Three relievers combined for three scoreless innings, including closer John Axford, who picked up the save.
McGehee had an RBI single in the first before coming around to score on a passed ball, a double in the second that plated a run and his 18th homer in the fifth to give his club a 7-4 lead.
Lopez (5-11) was charged with seven runs and seven hits in five frames.
Stephen Drew lifted a three-run homer and Rusty Ryal added a run-scoring single for Arizona in the setback.
