Andre Ethier had three hits and drove in a pair of runs and the Los Angeles Dodgers allowed just four hits in a 7-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
James Loney had two hits, including a homer, and Manny Ramirez had an RBI single in sending Arizona to its fourth straight defeat. Ethier continued his recent tear and leads the majors in batting (.393) and RBIs (34).
Chad Billingsley (3-2) allowed two runs on three hits with seven strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings before three relievers shut down the sagging Diamondbacks' offense, which has scored nine total runs over its last four.
Loney started the scoring with a second-inning solo shot off Rodrigo Lopez (1-2), who allowed four earned runs and walked five in seven innings.
Arizona tied it in the bottom half on a Chris Young solo home run before Ramirez gave the Dodgers the lead with a single to center in the third and Ethier had a two-run double in the fifth.
The Dodgers added three runs in the ninth off Bobby Howry to blow the game open.
