Carlos Pena singled home the winning run in his return from the disabled list as the Tampa Bay Rays rallied for a 6-4 victory over the Texas Rangers on Monday night.
Trailing 4-2 entering the bottom of the eighth inning, the Rays erupted for four runs against Rangers starter Cliff Lee (10-6).
B.J. Upton began the comeback with a one-out double and advanced to third on a Jason Bartlett single. Carl Crawford reached on a fielder's choice to bring home Upton and Evan Longoria followed with a single that scored Bartlett with the tying run.
Pena put Tampa ahead with a single to center, and Zobrist added a single to left to extend the lead to two runs.
Lance Cormier (4-3) retired one batter to earn the victory, while Rafael Soriano pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 34th save.
Lee was effective until unraveling in the eighth. He surrendered six runs on nine hits over 7 2/3 innings, walking one and striking out 10.
Tampa Bay starter David Price allowed two runs on five hits over six innings, with five walks and eight strikeouts.
