Ryan Braun hit a grand slam and Corey Hart finished with three hits and two RBIs as the Milwaukee Brewers crushed the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 12-2, on Monday.
Casey McGehee added a home run and George Kottaras drove in a run and scored a pair for the Brewers, who are now 3-4 in interleague play this season.
Milwaukee fell into a 2-0 hole after the second inning but responded right away in the third, jumping on left-hander Joe Saunders (5-7) for five runs. Kottaras pushed across the first run with a double to right and hung around as Corey Hart singled and Prince Fielder walked to load the bases with two outs.
Braun followed and put the Brewers on top, 5-2, with his 10th homer of the season.
McGehee widened the gap with a solo shot in the sixth before Milwaukee put it out of reach with five more runs in the seventh. Hart doubled in a pair and Braun drove in a run and scored a run in the frame.
Randy Wolf (5-6) bounced back from a pair of terrible starts with seven innings, allowing two runs on three hits to earn his fifth win.
