John Danks pitched eight solid innings and Alexei Ramirez had a key two-run single to help the Chicago White Sox to a 6-2 victory over the host Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night.
Danks (14-11) gave up two runs and seven hits as the White Sox beat the Angels for the second straight night. He struck out five and walked two.
Ramirez delivered a two-run single in Chicago’s four-run third inning as the White Sox overcame a 2-0 deficit. Alex Rios and Manny Ramirez had run-scoring doubles later in the inning.
A fourth-inning homer by Ramon Castro gave Chicago a 5-2 lead. The White Sox added a run in the seventh on Juan Pierre’s fielder’s choice.
Angels starter Scott Kazmir (9-15) allowed five runs and five hits in three-plus innings.
Both Los Angeles runs came in the opening inning. Howie Kendrick had a run-scoring double and scored on Torii Hunter’s single.
Bobby Wilson went 3-for-3 for the Angels.
