TCU 80, Furman 69: Kyan Anderson scored 21 points and dished out six assists to highlight the Horned Frogs' home victory over the Paladins.

TCU (9-0) remained undefeated on the season despite a good battle from pesky Furman (2-5), which shot 51.1 percent from the field and knocked down a good percentage from 3-point range (8-of-20) and the foul line (15-of-18). The Horned Frogs overcame 14 missed free throws by shooting a crisp 59.6 percent from the floor.

Amric Fields contributed 14 points and Trey Zeigler had 10 points, five rebounds and four assists as TCU matched its win total from last season, when it lost its final 19 games en route to a 9-22 finish. Stephen Croone paced Furman with 23 points and added four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Croone was the star of the first half, scoring 15 points as Furman was within 33-29 at halftime. The Paladins hung tough early in the second half as well before going nearly four minutes without a field goal as the Horned Frogs started to pull away.

Anderson's three-point play highlighted a 7-2 burst that pushed TCU's lead to 46-37 and his layup and 3-pointer ignited a quick 6-0 run after Furman got within 56-50 with just under 10 minutes left. The Paladins refused to go away, even in the game's waning minutes, but the Horned Frogs knocked down 9-of-10 foul shots in the final 1:44 to seal the victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Anderson shot 6-of-11, including 3-of-7 from outside the arc. He had struggled over his last three games, shooting 4-of-20 over that stretch following a two-game run in which he shot 14-of-17. ... Furman's starting frontcourt of Kris Acox and Kevin Chuisseu combined for two points, three rebounds and six turnovers. ... Kenrich Williams had 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting in a reserve role for TCU.
