Boston College 70, Holy Cross 60: Patrick Heckmann scored a season-high 19 points and Ryan Anderson added 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the host Eagles to their fourth straight win.
Freshman Olivier Hanlan contributed 14 points for Boston College (7-5), which has won 17 of the last 19 meetings against its in-state rival. Anderson's double-double was his fourth of the season.
Eric Obeysekere led the Crusaders (7-6) with 17 points off the bench while Dave Dudzinski added 15. The rest of the Holy Cross players shot a combined 12-for-38 (31.6 percent) from the floor.
The Crusaders, who defeated the Eagles by 22 points at home last season, got within two points at 37-35 on a jumper by Dudzinski with 16:42 remaining. Heckmann answered for Boston College with a 3-pointer, igniting a 15-0 run that included three baskets from beyond the arc.
Obeysekere's three-point play with 7:50 left pulled Holy Cross within 11 points, and Dudzinski's tip shot at the 3:01 mark made it a 10-point game, but the Crusaders – who shot 2-for-19 (10.5 percent) from the 3-point line – could get no closer.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Crusaders did not shoot a free throw until the 17:23 mark of the second half. ... Boston College has won 11 straight against Holy Cross at home.
