No. 4 Syracuse 84, Eastern Michigan 48: Freshman DaJuan Coleman had a career-high 14 points and the Orange overcame a sluggish start to run away from the visiting Eagles.
Coleman went 5-of-6 from the floor as Syracuse (6-0) had five players in double figures. Brandon Triche added 12 points and Michael Carter-Williams had 11 points and 11 assists.
Derek Thompson had a game-high 18 points to lead the Eagles (5-2) and hit three 3-pointers.
The Eagles led by as many as seven as Syracuse opened the game 2-for-12 from the floor before the Orange used a 27-5 run during the final 9:33 of the first half to take a 35-17 lead into halftime. James Southerland's jumper gave Syracuse its first lead at 14-12 with 8:13 left and Eastern Michigan didn't have a field goal in the final seven minutes of the first half.
Syracuse used its full-court press to push the game's tempo and force 23 turnovers.
