J.T. Realmuto homered and Jean Segura doubled and drove in two runs as the host Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 5-1 on Friday night to snap a three-game losing streak.
Bryce Harper doubled, singled, walked and stole three bases for the first time in his career. He became the first Phillie to steal second, third and home in the same game since Jayson Werth on May 12, 2009.
Phillies starter Zack Wheeler allowed seven hits and one run with eight strikeouts and two walks in seven innings. Wheeler (8-5) threw 111 pitches, 74 for strikes.
Freddie Freeman had two hits and a walk for the Braves, who totaled nine hits. Teammates Ozzie Albies, Dansby Swanson and Stephen Vogt had two hits each.
Braves starter Max Fried gave up six hits and four runs in five innings. Fried (7-6) struck out six and walked four.
The Phillies jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Realmuto launched a solo home run to left field.
Freeman's second hit, an RBI single, tied the game at 1 for Atlanta in the third.
In the fourth, Segura hit a two-run double, and the Phillies went ahead 3-1.
The Braves loaded the bases with two outs in the fifth, but Austin Riley broke his bat and grounded out to shortstop to end the threat.
Philadelphia placed runners at first and third with one out in the fifth, but Alec Bohm popped out to second. Fried then attempted to pick off Rhys Hoskins from first, but Harper stole home for a 4-1 advantage.
In the seventh, Hoskins lined an RBI double to left, and Realmuto scored from first for a 5-1 lead.
The Braves had runners on first and third with two outs in the eighth, but Abraham Almonte grounded out to second.
