MILWAUKEE -- Right-hander Jordan Lyles worked six innings of two-run ball, and the Colorado Rockies hit six doubles for the second consecutive day en route to a 5-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night at Miller Park.

Lyles (1-0) held the Brewers to five hits with a walk while striking out two. Three Colorado relievers threw one scoreless inning apiece, with LaTroy Hawkins earning his first save.

The Rockies' offense picked up where they left off Monday, belting out 12 hits. Catcher Nick Hundley accounted for three hits, while third baseman Nolan Arenado, second baseman DJ LeMahieu and shortstop Troy Tulowitzki finished with two apiece.

Milwaukee starter Matt Garza (0-1) lasted five innings in his 2015 debut and gave up four runs on eight hits and a walk. He fanned two.

Garza cruised through his first three innings but gave up a leadoff double to Tulowitzki in the fourth, sparking a three-run inning for Colorado. Tulowitzki came through again in the fifth, knocking in right fielder Carlos Gonzalez with an RBI single.

Milwaukee didn't score in its first 15 innings this season, but a leadoff double by right fielder Gerardo Parra got things started in the bottom of the fifth.

Shortstop Jean Segura reached when he was drilled in the helmet by a Lyles pitch. After being examined on the Brewers' medical staff, Segura walked to first base on his own and remained in the game. Second baseman Scooter Gennett beat out an infield hit to load the bases, and with Garza due up, manager Ron Roenicke called on pinch hitter Logan Schafer.

Schafer chopped into a double play, but Parra was able to score on the play. Center fielder Carlos Gomez made it a 4-2 game with an RBI double before Lyles ended the inning on catcher Jonathan Lucroy's groundout.

NOTES: Brewers RF Ryan Braun underwent an MRI exam Tuesday morning on his right side, which he strained Monday in Milwaukee's 10-0 loss to the Rockies. Braun was forced to leave Monday's game after five innings and he didn't play Tuesday, though he did take part in batting practice. Manager Ron Roenicke was optimistic that Braun would be available Wednesday. ... The Rockies won for the eighth time in their past 13 games at Miller Park. ... Colorado SS Troy Tulowitzki came into the game batting .412 for his career against Milwaukee, the best average among active players with at least 150 plate appearances. His teammate, 1B Justin Morneau, was fourth on that list with a .329 lifetime average against the Brewers. ... The three-game series concludes Wednesday with Rockies LHP Tyler Matzek facing Brewers RHP Wily Peralta.
