Padres 7, Rockies 1: Nick Hundley drove in three runs and joined Chase Headley with three hits as visiting San Diego snapped a four-game losing skid by crushing Colorado.

The pair ripped RBI doubles in the first inning to stake San Diego to an early lead. Hundley, who plated Headley with RBI singles in both the seventh and ninth innings, has collected four hits in his last two games after beginning the season in an 0-for-21 funk.

The offensive outburst was more than enough for Cory Luebke (1-1), who allowed one run on six hits in seven innings. The left-hander evened his career record versus Colorado at 2-2 after dominating the Rockies on Monday.

Tyler Colvin's RBI single in the second inning was all that Colorado could muster en route to dropping its second straight decision.

Jeremy Guthrie (1-1) permitted six runs on nine hits in seven innings to suffer his first loss.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez missed his third straight game with strep throat ... San Diego activated outfielder Mark Kotsay from the 15-day disabled list and optioned pitcher Brad Barch to Triple-A Tucson ... The Padres entered the contest with a 2-8 mark, tied for the second-worst start in franchise history (1974, 1987).
