Kourtney Roberson added 14 points and six rebounds and Shawn Smith had 10 points for Texas A&M (13-9, 4-5 SEC), which improved to 12-2 at home. Alex Caruso had four points and 10 assists for the Aggies, who shot 69 percent from the floor and hit 5-of-6 3-pointers in the second half.
Craig Sword and Fred Thomas each had 10 points to lead Mississippi State (13-9, 3-6), which has lost four straight. The Bulldogs, who remain winless on the road, shot 37.5 percent from the floor and committed 17 turnovers.
Roberson started a 12-3 run with back-to-back layups and the Aggies took a 22-16 lead with six minutes left in the first half. Gavin Ware had back-to-back baskets to get the Bulldogs within 25-24 and I.J. Ready tied game at 26 with a jumper with 46 seconds left.
Texas A&M broke open the game with a 20-2 run - including seven straight points from Davonte Fitzgerald - as Mississippi State went 11 1/2 minute without a field goal. Ware snapped the drought with a three-point play with six minutes left but Jones hit back-to-back 3-pointers a few minutes later to push the Aggies' lead to 63-43.
GAME NOTEBOOK: It was the first time Texas A&M scored more than 55 points since the 81-72 overtime loss at Mississippi State on Jan. 18. ... The Bulldogs are 0-6 on the road this season and have lost 14 straight road games. ... Caruso, who leads the SEC in assists, recorded his second double-digit assist game (11 vs. Arkansas on Jan. 8).
