Allen Crabbe scored 17 points and California remained unbeaten at home with a 73-46 win over Jackson State.
Crabbe came off the bench after being late for the morning shootaround, but he made an immediate impact with eight first-half points. Crabbe finished 7 of 13 from the field and grabbed five rebounds as the Golden Bears (8-2) improved to 7-0 at home.
Jenirro Bush had 16 points and six rebounds for Jackson State (1-8), which is still looking for its first win against a Division I opponent. The Tigers committed 16 turnovers and shot just 16 of 47 (34 percent) from the field.
Jackson State pulled within seven points early in the second half, but Cal used a 13-2 run to lead 48-30 with 11:50 remaining.
California forward Richard Solomon, who was suspended for the previous two games for violating team rules, had six points and four rebounds in 13 minutes.
Jorge Gutierrez powered the Golden Bears with a career-high 10 assists to go with seven points and seven rebounds, and Bak Bak added a season-high 10 points.
Kelsey Howard had 11 points for Jackson State, whose loaded schedule includes losses to Florida, Baylor, Ohio State and Memphis.
