Rudy Gay hit the go-ahead basket with 27.8 seconds left in the extra session to cap a 23-point performance as host Memphis defeated San Antonio for its fourth straight win.

Mike Conley scored 21 points and Zach Randolph had 18 and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who scored the final six points and held the Spurs to 1-of-10 shooting in overtime.

Tony Parker scored 30 points, including a last-second 3-pointer in regulation to force overtime. The Spurs scored six points in the final 4.4 seconds, with Stephen Jackson hitting a 3-pointer to pull San Antonio within one. Randolph buried two free throws with 3.5 seconds left prior to Parker draining the clutch 3-pointer.

Parker’s 3-pointer with 3:35 left accounted for San Antonio’s only points in overtime. Randolph hit a basket 22 seconds later and neither team scored again until Gay’s go-ahead hoop. Tony Allen added a dunk with 8.9 seconds remaining, and San Antonio’s Manu Ginobili missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

The Spurs trailed by 12 early in the second half before using an 18-4 surge to take a 66-64 lead on Parker’s three-point play with two minutes left. The Spurs led 71-68 at the conclusion of a stanza in which Memphis went 5-of-20 from the field.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Conley hit all 10 of his free-throw attempts. … Ginobili scored 14 points, Tim Duncan had 13 and 15 rebounds and Tiago Splitter contributed 13 points for the Spurs. … The teams meet again Wednesday in San Antonio.
