Warriors 110, Timberwolves 97: Stephen Curry scored 25 points and Klay Thompson added 21 as host Golden State defeated Minnesota.
Curry and Thompson each made four 3-point baskets as the Warriors halted a two-game losing streak. Draymond Green scored just four points but had eight rebounds, six assists, a career-best six steals and three blocked shots.
Thaddeus Young scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting for the Timberwolves, who lost their eighth consecutive contest. Rookie Zach LaVine had 12 points and a season-best 14 assists for Minnesota, which committed 25 turnovers.
The Warriors led 88-67 entering the final quarter and quickly pushed the lead to 27. The Timberwolves carved into their deficit late in the fourth before settling in for their 13th loss in 15 road games this season.
Thompson had 16 points in the first half and Curry scored 14 as Golden State possessed a 58-48 halftime lead. A 10-1 run early in the third gave the Warriors a 19-point advantage and a three-point play by Andre Iguodala made it 88-63 late in the third.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Golden State racked up 17 steals with Curry and Iguodala recording three apiece. … Minnesota was just 21-of-36 from the free-throw line. … Warriors C Andrew Bogut (knee) missed his ninth consecutive game.
