Wizards 98, Cavaliers 91: Bradley Beal collected 26 points, eight assists and seven rebounds and Nene added 24 points, eight boards and six assists as visiting Washington held off a late flurry to avenge Saturday's overtime loss to Cleveland.
Beal matched a career high with six 3-pointers and John Wall contributed 15 points, nine assists and four steals for the Wizards, who snapped a three-game road skid and won their second straight overall. Martell Webster also scored 15 for Washington, which went 14-for-14 from the foul line and has made all 29 attempts over its past two contests.
Kyrie Irving scored 18 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter and Anderson Varejao added 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for Cleveland. Jarrett Jack also scored 14 in a reserve role and Dion Waiters added 11.
Washington gained some separation with a 11-0 run midway through the first and led 30-19 after one. The Wizards kept up their hot shooting in the second quarter and took a 56-38 lead into the break.
The Wizards scored the first eight points of the second half to push the lead to 26 and took an 80-59 advantage into the final stanza before the Cavaliers made their push. Matthew Dellavedova hit a pair of 3-pointers to spark an 8-0 Cleveland run to start the fourth and cut the lead to 80-67, and Irving took over from there, scoring 11 straight points to get the Cavaliers within four before Washington sealed it at the line.
