Mavericks 116, Warriors 91: Shawn Marion led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds as host Dallas easily dispatched Golden State.
O.J. Mayo had 19 points, Darren Collison added 18 and Dirk Nowitzki overcame a rough shooting night to post 15 for the Mavericks (22-28), who moved one game closer to shaving their beards. Several veterans, led by Nowitzki, vowed to not shave until the team was back at .500.
Stephen Curry had 18 points as the Warriors concluded an 0-4 road trip. Golden State played its third straight game without Jarrett Jack (shoulder) and was also missing Andrew Bogut (ankle).
Dallas took the drama out of the game early with a 17-2 run in the first quarter that turned a one-point deficit into a 26-12 lead. The Mavericks would go into the second quarter up 30-16 and opened the period with a 10-2 burst to push the lead past 20.
Collison scored 13 points in the first half and Marion added 11 and seven rebounds as Dallas coasted into the break with a 62-36 lead. The stumbling Warriors shot 30.4 percent in the first half.
Golden State began to find a rhythm from the field in the third quarter as Curry, Klay Thomson and Harrison Barnes connected from the outside, but only managed to trim the deficit to 85-66 heading into the final quarter.
Curry’s 3-pointer early in the fourth got the Warriors within 85-72, but Marion capped a 12-4 run with back-to-back baskets and the Mavericks coasted to the finish.
