HAWKS 109, RAPTORS 87: Jeff Teague had 19 points and 10 assists as visiting Atlanta made up for an embarrassing loss Sunday and clinched a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Hawks, who came out flat in the opener of this home-and-home set, improved to 5-2 in their last seven games and climbed closer to Indiana in the race for a top-four spot in the conference and homecourt advantage to open the playoffs.

Teague scored 13 points in the first half and sparked an up-tempo transition attack that thrived on turnovers. Atlanta forced Toronto to cough up the ball 19 times and scored 28 points off the fast break.

Atlanta closed the third quarter on an 11-4 run and extended that into a 17-4 run in the first three minutes of the fourth.

The Hawks had five players in double figures, including Marvin Williams and Ivan Johnson, who combined for 37 points off the bench.

Toronto failed in its bid to win three games in a row for only the second time this season and lost its fourth straight game at home to Atlanta.

DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 22 points while James Johnson chipped in with 18 points, bringing the home crowd to its feet with a thunderous one-handed dunk over Vladimir Radmanovic – plus the foul – in the second quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Raptors wore their camouflage uniforms in honor of Canada’s military. … The 28 fast-break points were the most Toronto allowed this season. … The Hawks are 33-5 when scoring 90 or more points.
