Point guard Jeremy Lin had his first career double-double with 23 points and 10 assists to lead the shorthanded New York Knicks to a 107-93 victory over the host Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.

Center Tyson Chandler dominated the inside with a season-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Knicks, who won their third straight despite the absence of standouts Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire.

Steve Novak and Iman Shumpert came off the bench to score 19 and 17 points, respectively, for New York, which beat the Wizards for the eighth consecutive time.

Point guard John Wall scored 29 points to pace Washington, which failed to win back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Lin, making only his second career start, scored eight of his 12 points in the third quarter as the Knicks used a 14-4 spurt to take a 77-68 lead into the final 12 minutes.

The undrafted point guard out of Harvard has averaged 25.3 points during the winning streak after scoring a total of 32 points through his first nine games.

Novak provided the spark in the second quarter, burying four 3-pointers during a 23-7 run to help the Knicks to a 52-46 halftime advantage.
