Shannon Brown scored nine of his 14 points in the final 4:07 as the visiting Phoenix Suns snapped a five-game losing streak with a 91-88 victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.
Steve Nash had a team-high 26 points, including six free throws in the last 17 seconds, as the Suns averted their first six-game skid since March 2009 and sent the Knicks to their fourth consecutive defeat.
Grant Hill added 14 points and Marcin Gortat had his sixth straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds as Phoenix beat New York for the 12th time in the last 16 meetings.
Amar'e Stoudemire scored 23 points and rookie Iman Shumpert had 20 for the Knicks, who pulled to within one point on a 3-pointer by Carmelo Anthony with six seconds left.
But Nash drained two more free throws and Shumpert missed a tying 3-point attempt as the Suns improved to 5-0 when leading at halftime.
Shumpert scored 10 points in the final 3:09, including a pair of 3-pointers in the last minute, but couldn't bring New York back after Brown gave the Suns their biggest lead at 78-71 on back-to-back jumpers with 3:21 to play.
