Tony Parker scored a season-high 28 points and Richard Jefferson connected on the go-ahead 3-point basket as the San Antonio Spurs registered a 101-95 overtime victory over the visiting Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

Tim Duncan added 17 points and 11 rebounds as San Antonio (7-4) improved to 7-0 at home.

Kyle Lowry scored 22 points, Luis Scola tallied 20 and Kevin Martin had 18 points for Houston (3-7), which dropped to 1-6 on the road.

San Antonio didn’t have a field goal in overtime until Jefferson hit a 3-pointer to give the Spurs a 94-92 lead with 1:09 left. Duncan followed with a basket with 35.5 seconds remaining and the Spurs held off Houston’s charge.

San Antonio wasn’t able to contain the Rockets in the final minute of regulation after Parker’s basket for a 90-85 advantage. Lowry hit a 3-pointer and Scola forced overtime with a driving basket with 5.8 seconds remaining in regulation.

Kawhi Leonard added 11 points and eight rebounds for San Antonio.

The Rockets led by 12 early in the second quarter but the Spurs responded with a 16-6 run and pulled within 45-43 on Duncan’s basket with 3:18 left in the half. Houston led 50-47 at intermission.
